FOSIS Ireland Commitee
11 March 2010

Asalaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatulahi Wabarakatahu

I pray this email finds you all in the best of health and Iman inshAllah.

I would like to take this opportunity and tell you about the new FOSIS Ireland committee for 2010/2011!

You already know some of us, others are fresh new faces, the dynamics of being a student full of vibrancy and ideas is once again blooming as we embrace the new term and hope to work with ISOCs across the country once again!

About FOSIS

Heard alot about "FOSIS" but not sure what it all means? Look no further, the Federation of Student Islamic Societies is all about YOU! You guys are the Muslim students of today and the leaders of tomorrow. FOSIS is an umbrella organisation for student Islamic Societies of the UK and Ireland; established in 1962, seeking to uphold the Quranic verse where Allah tells us to "Hold fast to the rope of Allah, all of you together, and be not disunited" (Quran 3:103).
At the heart of our vision, we have two central aims:

1) To represent and unite Muslim students;
2) To serve students.

Last year we had 12 ISOCs in Ireland, this year we hope to set up more and reaffiliate the old. FOSIS seeks to bring together Muslim students under a shared experience, offering advice, help and our services where appropriate, and ultimately helping Muslims to contribute positively to their communities.
